This is my first Mercy Celeste book and it will NOT be my last. I adore her writing style. I loved the 'mortal enemies' since kindergarten plot. I loved Jaime and Cass. The arguments were hot, their sex scenes were even hotter. (SPOILER ALERT: He's a biter...in a good way)I loved the ending and their dialogue. It was just good.

The dirty talk was pretty damn good!!

Imagine two worlds, one with magic and one without. The one without is our world. Samantha, Sam, is going to college, but she doesn’t really want to be there. It was something that her father and her had planned on but now she wants something else, she just doesn’t know what. At the same time she has been having all kinds of weird nightmares.

Damian is a demon and comes from this other world. He keeps seeing this ghost girl that is really sad but won’t move on. One night he proceeds to save her and ends up in her world. Of course Sam is not impressed by Damian and tries everything to get rid of him. But eventually they connect and Damian brings her back to his world. But if they are going to work together, they need to figure out the differences between their worlds.

This was a good book. I really liked Sam. She is not the typical, start struck girl that you usually see in these kinds of books. She is very real and can definitely think for herself. I liked the differences between the worlds and how they worked around that. I admit that I wasn’t a fan of the ending but it is something that I could see Sam doing.

Over all this is a really good story. There is a second book, Wicked Game and I would be willing to read this too. Check it out; this might be your next favorite book.

I received this book for free a while ago in exchange for an honest review.

This book was well-written and had an interesting story. I loved the characterizations. The plot was nicely set-up and the follow through with it was great!

I received this book via a librarything.com giveaway. I really enjoyed this book. I love that the storyline was about two different worlds at different times. I thought the characters were very well written and had substance to them. I cannot wait for the second book to come out. I only had one complaint. I didn't quite understand how the war ended. I had to read it a couple of times. I thought it ended suddenly. Maybe it was supposed to. I would definitely recommend this book.
