This book deserves 10 stars. Well written, lots of cool medical jargon, and stuff I"ve not heard of before, which is huge! The plot held my interest and the ending sort of leaves things open for some characters to return again in either a sequel or a standalone novel. I really hope this guy writes more books, he should be on the best seller lists for sure.

It's been awhile since I've read a true medical thriller, there was a time that I would devour Robin Cook novels at page burning speed Lol!

This is an author I don't recall ever reading. The plot was an interesting idea and the characters were believable and well developed. I did, however, feel that situations lined up too well to be completely realistic, too many coincidences. This doesn't usually bother me in a book....it is fiction after all....but, this was alittle too harmonious, EVERYTHING just happened to fall in place to save the main female protagonist, Dr Wu. I also found certain parts to drag out a bit, and found myself skip reading ahead at times.

Overall, a pretty decent and solid read. I enjoyed it enough to revive my love of this genre......I will be searching my bookshelves for more unread medical thrillers for sure.

Received from NetGalley in exchange for a review.

Holy crap, this book! The first few chapters roped me in. The author is a doctor in real life so it is clear he knows what he is talking about. When he is describing the main character's thought process during surgery I thought what a cocky bastard and then I thought well, if someone is going to be operating on me I think I kind of want them to be confident that they know what they are doing. The author also can write a death scene like no one's business. I thought I had the bad guy all figured out and boy was I wrong. I read the entire book in one day and I look forward to seeing more from [a:Kelly Parsons|2384483|Kelly Parsons|https://www.goodreads.com/assets/nophoto/user/u_50x66-d9f6a4a5badfda0f69e70cc94d962125.png] in the future.… (plus d'informations)
