A quirky but sweet romance with a HEA.

3.5 stars only because of the timejump that I don't like and fade-to-black sex scenes, but that was okay, this story is so much more than just smut. Beautiful.

I really liked this story. I felt for Lincoln throughout the story. I can't even begin to imagine what he would have to live with from that type of situation. I liked Jay, also. He was grieving but in a way where he had already passed through most of the stages and could see the accident as just that. I did think it would be slightly difficult for them to have a future together considering the guilt and emotions that have surrounded them throughout the whole book. I hope they can find a happy ever after. They both deserve it after such a tragic act.

I really enjoyed this book. I thought the start and continuation of the relationship between the guys seemed quite believable and charming.

This was a good book. It hooked me from the beginning, frustrated me a little in the middle, and then redeemed itself fully by the end. I liked how it showed Grady and Mateo in the prologue. It clearly showed a connection between them. After running away out of fear, two divorces, and 6 years later, Grady finally admits to himself that he is gay. He hunts down Mateo, but there are a lot of demons that Mateo is fighting. I got a little annoyed at how persistent and almost disrespectful of Mateo's wishes that Grady was, but I was glad that it all worked out in the end. I'm glad that Mateo was able to find peace and move on.

Wow! Talking about emotional overload! My head hurts ~:|
I need a "vacation" book!

After finishing 60% of the book, only putting it down once, I found that suddenly it was extremely hard to keep up, I had to take breaks, had to stop and figure things out and try hard not to give into temptation and sneak a peek at the last chapter.

This is such a true, real life, f*cked up situation - taking a great loss, going through hell only to realize that someone who seems less than ideal match is, in fact, crucial not only to your happiness and welfare, but your very survival.

How do you let go and live with yourself doing completely the opposite from whatever is "normal" and "expected" from you?

***

Very good ending. I am a very happy camper after all.

This is a lovely (best) friends to lovers story. It does take a while to build up and there is a lot going on in the beginning especially, but it's worth the wait.

The relationship between Kyle and Evan is, well interesting comes to mind. They are best friends. Have been for a long time, but the one time they tried to be more it didn't work. Didn't even start to be honest. But now it's time to try again.

The added 'mystery' in the story made it even more interesting. Add to that the fact that in the beginning every time they tried to start something they got interrupted and it made for fun reading as well.

So overall a book which really had all the elements to make a great read.

This is another great example of why I enjoy Sloan Parker's writing so much. She writes real characters. Not flawless, perfect or one dimensional. No, characters that could step off the pages and live their lives amongst us.

Not that the book was perfect (very few ever are), the age thing did become a little tiring after a while, but I can also see why Walter is having such an issue with it. But even with the imperfections, and the little niggles that always rear their head, it was a great read.

I love Kevin; klutzy, spazzing and adorable. Walter; mysterious and imposing. Kevin who is so deep in the closet that he fooled himself for years. And Walter who has loved and lost and is now closed off from that forever, or so he thinks.

These two men come with their own baggage. But they come together to solve a mystery and along the way they find more than what they bargained for.

I read the short of this in 2011. Once I started this one I remembered one of my thoughts was that I wished it were longer... and yay, here it is!

I love the characters here. Scott is adorable. A bit of a geek and nerd rolled into a very sexy package. Mark doesn't quite come across as a student. He feels older, more mature. But he is also one hot specimen... Together they make for some very smexy scenes, especially if you throw in the light BDSM elements that this story contain.

So even if you have already read the short of this (which is the first chapter of this book) this story is definitely worth the time.

Oh my but I loved this book!!!

Most of the books I've read revolving around a threesome have always left me feeling unfulfilled, the characters never quite gelling into a cohesive unit in my mind. Not so with More. Luke, Richard and Matthew each brought something to the relationship that the others needed but it didn't all mesh together magically - lust transformed into something deeper through negotiation, affection, communication and trust. And damn but I bawled like a baby sniffled in a few places!

3.5 STARS rounded up to 4 because I like Sloan Parker's work so much!

In this instance the story would have benefitted from a few more pages. The 'finale' sort of just popped out there much too suddenly not allowing me to glory in the HEA.

I'm having a hard time writing a review for this book. It is so very well written and the characters have depth and substance. It is a story of forgiveness and redemption and second chances...all things I crave in a book. But somehow I wasn't "feeling" it. Somehow, I felt removed. I fear it is a lacking in me rather than the characters in the book or the ability of the author. I fear I could not be that forgiving...

Gosh but this was one of the most romantic things I've ever read! I loved all of the little details that Mike remembered to make their anniversary special!

Really good suspense story. The bad guy was suitably creepy, Walter and Kevin were a solid pairing, with a realistic dynamic and the action kept the story moving.

I loved the mystery of this book. It kept me on my toes and guessing the whole way through it. I would defiantly recommend this book.½

The story was good but it was far too drawn out; the climax was much too slow in coming. Also, I would have preferred a better description of the characters, instead of the super vague ones provided.½

As far as I'm concerned, this is an excellent menage romance. The issues that might happen in a triangular relationship like that are real and treated with sensitivity and skill. Despite the fact that the book is written in the first person I saw enough detail about the other two men to make them believable and likeable characters.

The threat from Luke's father may have been a little over the top, but not totally unbelievable. The book is much more about what that does to Luke, the main protagonist, and the way he lives his life. Or rather how he doesn't dare to live his life for fear of hurting others. Following his development was fascinating and I had a hard time putting the book down.

Very well done and remarkable for a first novel!

This is a sweet, very passionate piece about a longing for love finally fulfilled. Even though it is more of a long scene, the characters and their emotions pulled me in from the start, and it was quite clear who they are and how much they mean to each other.

The threat of losing everything loomed large for David, who immediately assumes the worst when Michael, his student adviser, passes his thesis to another professor. Even though they never had a relationship, due to their status as student and adviser, the friendship they have built always felt like more to David.

Michael is doing the right thing, the only thing he can ethically do, by handing over the professional part of their relationship, David's thesis, to someone else. While he is older, and waited long enough to be sure about his love for David, he is no less passionate when they finally do come together. He's just been hiding it better.

If you like short, hot reads, give this one a try. It's free and a god sample of Sloan's writing style.

The whole idea of breaking into a former lover's place to lie in his bed while he is out is really funny. As Sloan says, this short story was inspired by a song, but she definitely gave this version her very own, and very naughty personal twist. Not to mention the light humor that morphs into sadness when Billy tumbles into the apartment one fateful Friday that will change everything. The feelings of regret and wishing to make things undone permeate Billy's thinking, and, never mind what he did to mess up his relationship, he definitely wants what he had back, and I felt for Billy.

What follows as Doug and Roger come back unexpectedly early is hilarious, hot, and just a little bit creepy at the same time. Without time left to escape, Billy ends up hiding under the bed, the description of which is the funny part. The two men kissing and getting ready to make love is hot, and the fact they don’t seem to know there is someone under the bed (who would even suspect?) is just a bit creepy. However, in an ingenious stroke of romantic inspiration Sloan solves it all and made me breathe a sigh of relief. What a great ride!

If you like stories that are as hot and funny as they are romantic, if you appreciate a few twists here and there and like the totally unexpected, and if you're looking for a short, satisfying read with just enough angst to get you going, then I can definitely recommend this free story.

This is a hard one for me to rate because I'm still not quite sure what to make of it. Going over it again in my mind, it sounds really good. But it just wasn't really good. I can't put my finger on why.

Maybe it was too short? Or because I felt like we really didn't have the whole story? Or because I felt like the boys kept changing their stories? Or I didn't really feel the passion?

I love me some [a:Sloan Parker|3413928|Sloan Parker|https://d.gr-assets.com/authors/1268191451p2/3413928.jpg] but this book just didn't do it for me. For this one, I'll have you read other reviews to decide whether or not to read it. I'm far too wishy-washy to recommend or not recommend this one.

Childhood friends and college roommates reunite after one of them denies his sexuality and runs from the other.

Although they had been friends forever, Grady now is ashamed of his rejection of Mateo because of a night of sexual awakening and wants to apologize and get back together with the man Grady now knows he's always loved.

Finding Mateo, however, isn't as easy as Grady thought it would be. In frustration, Grady runs a personal ad online, hoping that Mateo will see it and contact him.

Instead of finding him through the ad, Grady spies the changed Mateo watching a pride parade and follows him back to his apartment. There, Mateo tries to persuade Grady from having anything to do with him because he's in trouble and hiding.

The story was exactly what I wanted in terms of the romantic edge. For a short story, the tension felt right. We saw the wants of the MC early on and the story progressed smoothly from there. The sexual action was pretty intense and well written. What didn't work for me was on the writing level. I could've done with a little less description, this is especially true when we have the drastic scene shift. Overall I think it was pretty good and I'd like to read more from the author.
