Estelle Paranque

This was an exceptional telling of the story of Elizabeth I of England and Catherine de Medici of France. These two queens ruled their countries and shaped the course of European history for years afterwards. There story is complex. Beginning as friends, they become allies, and eventual enemies. Paranque has presented the material here in an easy to read manner. This book was hard to put down and endlessly fascinating.
