Courte biographie
Amy Paine writes fiction purely for women, with no topic taboo. She loves contemporary lesbian romance but also finds writing stories with an historical flavour and plenty of emotional drama, thrilling. Her goal is to deliver interesting lesbian fiction that makes the reader think.

At the moment she is busy at work writing the Travelling Companions series – a project that took off when one of her friends who loved Downton Abbey, made her wonder about delivering a series of 1920s novellas from a purely female viewpoint. She is busy at work on lots of new projects, too, including short stories and a contemporary lesbian novel.

Three stars when treated as an erotic novelette. (2 if you want it to be a romance.)

The story is essentially that of two women having sexytimes on a train. The pacing is a little weird, but once I realized this was part 1/3, it made more sense.

The white heroine does refer to the biracial heroine as exotic a couple of times, which I know is probably normal for the 1920’s, but it’s not now and it was an icky piece of racist dreck that pulled me out of the story each time.
