I picked up this book primarily because the description promises a storyline similar to Wheel of Time and A Song of Ice and Fire( two of my all time favorite fantasy series), but in an urban or modern setting. I was drawn into the unique and well-developed world the author created from practically the first chapter. The descriptions are so vivid, I could picture the scene playing out as though I was actually watching a movie.

What I also really liked was the depth of the characters, especially Noah. He comes alive on the page, and is one of the most life-like characters I’ve ever come across in fantasy books. For me, personally, the fact that the main character is gay added a new dimension of uniqueness to the storyline, and I enjoyed this added twist. This is a fantasy tale through and through though, with magic, intrigue and a fascinating world. I’d highly recommend it to all fantasy fans!… (plus d'informations)
