I've checked this book out before and was impressed by the variety of edging patterns in here, but keep forgetting that I don't know basic crochet beyond a chain stitch and a single crochet stitch (and this is definitely written for a veteran crocheter). Though a quick internet search would probably fill in the stitches I don't know, I managed to muddle through an approximation of one of the simpler patterns and left it at that.

Yes, I need this one. The interesting thing is not the edging patterns themselves, but the creative way Kristin Omdahl goes about using them.

No! Not going to buy. I found problems in the directions for the project I tried. Online errata for other patterns are available, but not the problem I found. Seems the patterns were not carefully written. That's no fun.

Excellent. Inspirational

This includes a lot of different techniques, and show off how varied crochet can be. However none of the projects really grabbed me. In a few cases they might have if the construction details were clearer.
