Elise and Rosemont are sisters who get along really well, mostly - but it drives Elise up the wall when Rosemont copies her. But when Elise storms out of a friend's birthday party because Rosemont has shown up and brought the same gift, she gets hurt - and it's Rosemont who follows and helps. "You always pick me up when I'm down! Where do you think I learned it from?"

As an older sibling myself, copying *still* bothers me, but if Elise is okay with it, I have to be, too.

The back endpapers have step by step instructions for making your own rain stick.… (plus d'informations)

Nibblet & Ralph accidentally get stuck exchanging apartments after their plan to see each other gets foiled. Eventually their humans realize and they all get to see each other and then go back to their homes.

The cats were cute, I enjoyed the illustration, but wasn’t just super impressed with the story.

So I had gotten a bunch of books by this author after reading and loving Stop Snoring Bernard!, but I unfortunately haven’t liked these others as much as that one. I feel like the others haven’t had as strong of a storyline and weren’t as interactive with the reader as that one. This was fine, I liked the illustrations, but the other elements aren’t as strong.

Momo the flying squirrel comes to visit his cousins but isn’t what they expect. He doesn’t like to do any of the stuff they do and they get bummed about it. But then they realize that they can compromise by combining some of the things they like before their cousin leaves.… (plus d'informations)

This was my other aquatic mammals Storytime book! It was the perfect length for a Storytime book and had a great repetitive sound that the kids could perform every couple pages of the otter snoring LOUDLY. They had fun with this! They also found it funny when the other otters came to find Bernard in the Zoo staff cart.

This book also has great facial expressions for emotions so I had them guess how the characters were feeling at different parts based on their expressions. Then I was able to talk about at the end how sometimes there are things about the people we love that get on our nerves or are annoying, but because we love them and still want to be around them and with them, we have to accept those little things along with everything else just like they have to do for us.

I was also able to point out how sea otters sleep on their backs on the ocean and sometimes hold paws not to float away from one another. There’s also fun moments where the kids can guess what animal will show up next with Bernard because it shows a small part of the animal on one page and then the whole animal on the next page. It was a really great interactive Storytime book, would definitely recommend it!
