Probably the most useful part of the book is the tear-out map of Sydney which I made use of extensively. The information the book provides on sights, monuments and must-see places is exceptional, however the material on eating, accommodation and shopping dates quickly. Sydney is also undergoing major changes in its public transport infrastructure, so the information in that area in this book will rapidly become obsolete. This slim, pocket-sized volume is jam-packed with all kinds of useful information, including items I didn’t even think about (such as Denmark’s emergency number, which is definitely a good piece of information to have handy). Some of the sections weren’t really applicable to me (For instance, as I had already booked a hotel before getting my hands on this book, the entire section on accommodations was unnecessary. Likewise, as I am only staying a few days, the section on day trips out of Copenhagen was basically a skimmer for me.), but overall I was able to glean a lot from this book that will be helpful in planning my trip. My only complaint was that I couldn’t figure out the organization. Unless I missed it, there wasn’t an initial table of contents, just shorter content pages for each section, which is considerably less helpful. I’m not exactly sure what would have been better, but it seemed to me that the arrangement of the sections was less than ideal. Still, I have a handful of pages filled with notes I jotted down while reading, so I’d recommend this guidebook as a helpful one.… (plus d'informations)
