I can't say that I found Christmas in a Book that impressive, either as a Christmas carol picture-book (a pet project of mine), or as a pop-up Christmas tree decoration. I couldn't help comparing it to some of the gorgeous presentations of this carol that I have seen, whether it be the breathtaking version done by Laurel Long, or the lovely one by Jane Ray, and it certainly falls short, from an illustrative perspective. Similarly, if one is looking for a pop-up Christmas tree book, I recommend the new Harry Potter: A Hogwarts Christmas Pop-Up, which features a tree that can be decorated with the ornaments obtained from the advent-calendar style pockets. This is cute enough, but just not that successful, either as book or as novelty item.… (plus d'informations)
