Jackson just wants some rest! But his ghost neighbor won't stop OOOOO-ing, the boogey monster wont stop shouting, and the pixie in the piano makes noise too! After a few nights, he is so tired he's brushing his teeth with soap! But Jackson is a good neighbor, so he helps his neighbors find things to do that AREN'T shouting.
I thought the charecters were all super adorable, and I giggled at all the noises they make. This book is very simple, but it's funny and would be great to read around Halloween.

This is a great read for students! It shows how the main character stands up to their fear of the dark. This can be used to show about problem and solution in a story.

A ghost in the attic is keeping Jackson up all night. He told the ghost to be quiet, but he just wouldn't. He couldn't get any sleep; he was so tired in the morning. He keep thinking about how he could keep the ghost quiet. He finally found a way to keep the ghost quiet and they both got what they want. They compromised and Jackson got to sleep and the ghost got their toys.

This is a cute little story about Jackson moving into his new home. Every night he goes to bed, there is something making noise that keeps him from getting a good night's sleep, first it was a ghost, then the boogey monster, and finally the pixie. This book has a hidden meaning that things are not always as they appear and it also teaches problem solving and resolving issues.

After Jackson moved into his new house, he wasn't able to sleep due to all the noise from his neighbors, the ghost in the attic, the Boogey monster in the basement, or the pixie in his piano. Three nights later, Jackson finds an activity for each of his noisy neighbors to do at night so he can finally get a good night's rest. The next morning, he wakes up to 3 new friends.

This was a goofy book. Kids would definitely appreciate this book for its humor, like Jackson putting ketchup on his toast from being too tired or just from how the constant problems Jackson ran into when trying to sleep. This was definitely a cute book and I think it would be a great bedtime story. A great way to incorporate this book into the classroom would be to use it for teaching onomatopoeias or even to just read this book to students after recess to get them to wind down a bit.

Nathan begins to have sudden episodes of blinking, eye flutters, sniffing, and twitching. His parents and friends think he is doing this intentionally, but when his mother finally brings him to a specialist, they discover that Nathan has Tourette Syndrome. Nathan's mom helps him to discover ways to lessen his episodes, she speaks to his classmates about Tourette as well, so they can understand Nathan.
Nathan's mom becomes his advocate in this book. I admire how she spoke to his class about his diagnosis, and made him feel comfortable. When children did laugh at Nathan he was not bothered by it.

This story would be great for an older audience like about ages 5 and up and it's about a kid that is diagnosed with Tourette's Syndrome and has to adapt into the new changes in his life.

This is a very heart string puller, it toke me reading it twice not to cry. This is a story about tourettes syndrome. I found this book engaging, informative, and easy to follow. It is a long book but gets the point or plot of the story across in way that even adults can understand about this condition and the progress in the management of this condition. This book is mature reading, if the student is old enough to read on their own.

No More Noisy Nights by Holly L. Niner
I found this book to be very interesting. I didn’t notice an overall moral or theme but it was enjoyable. I liked that the author made light of things that children might think are scary at night. For example, children are scared of monsters in their closets and monsters in the basement and this story gave the monsters side of the story. It told the story of Jackson, who spent all day moving into his new house. When he finally got to bed, he was then woken up by a ghost in the attic one night, a boogie monster in the basement another night, and a pixie in the piano the last night. Jackson had so much trouble sleeping that he stuffed his ears with cotton balls, pulled on his thickest ski cap and wrapped his thickest pillow around his head and he still couldn’t sleep. In order for Jackson to get some rest, he asked the pixie, ghost and boogie monster if they could please stop making noises all night and they all asked what they should do instead. That’s when Jackson presented the ghost with a puzzle, a train set for the boogie monster and a sheet of music for the pixie. The following night, everyone slept happily.

In my opinion, this is a great story for young children. The story includes many onomatopoeias, which are very engaging and fun for young children, which allows them to chime in for a shared reading experience. The story is about a little mouse, Jackson, who cannot sleep through the night because other people are making too much noise. He tries to cover his ears with cotton balls, but it does not work. In the end Jackson becomes friends with the others when they come up with a solution to the noise problem. His friends find alternate way to continue their daily activities that were too noisy at first. The main idea of the story is that friendship can be found anywhere.

In my opinion this book is a perfect book for beginning readers. It has repetition and is easy to follow along. There were also many funny parts. For example, Jackson was so tired he washed his face with toothpaste and brushed his teeth with soap. This book is about an animal named Jackson who just moved into a new house. He is just trying to get a good night’s sleep, but each night something is keeping him up. For example, one night a pixie was loud in the attic because she was playing the piano. Jackson must figure out a way to get a good nights sleep. The language in this book is descriptive and creative. I loved how the characters were a fairy, boogie man, and a ghost. The writing was organized in chronological order of a short story. The characters were descriptive and believable. Jackson can relate to anyone who is having trouble falling asleep at night. This book is written in third person point of view. The plot is organized and involves conflict. Jackson runs into conflict with sleeping three nights in a row. Each time it is because of something else. The illustrations enhance the story and make it easier to picture the characters. The message of this story is if you run into problems find out ways to fix them. Also, you never know you might make friends along the way.

A story that is given a very clear picture about a child dealing with tourettes syndrome. Very good informational book about this syndrome, even gives a page to parents to better explain the syndrome.
