Father O'Malley (Bing Crosby) shows up at St. Mary's, a failing parochial school, and meets the no-nonsense Sister Benedict (Ingrid Bergman) along with other sisters at the school. The school is not far from closing due to its dilapidation. The sisters pray that a wealthy local business man (Henry Travers) will donate his recently built building to the school. This is a wonderful and fun movie. Highly recommend.

2022 Movie #127. 1945. Robinson plays a downtrodden clerk with artistic aspirations who falls in love with a young woman who's boyfriend wants to con him out of the money they think he has. Sad story.

A conwoman mistakenly thinks an old man has money. It's a collection of corny tropes pretending to be a story. There's some style, but not enough to make it worth watching.
