While not horrible, this was a deal breaker for me in an otherwise reasonable plotline.

I read about 20% of this book and it just isn't for me. The setting is interesting and I've never read about a gargoyle and a human. But the writing style drove me mad. Everything they think and say it's spelled out and it got a bit repetitive.
I love that this author it's sensitive to the fact that women who read her work might have triggers that are effected by her stories. I love, too that she writes them anyway. I hurt and I laughed and I cried.
It was an excellent read.
