If you have a reluctant male reader or one who reads the Wimpy Kid like books, this book will satisfy the reader. Written in a journal format with short chapters and illustrations it will not be overwhelming nor the content uninteresting. School journal entries ring true, especially the field trip for an ocean boat trip. I received a copy for review from Goodreads First Reads.
