This was a book that picked up national security history about 1927 when A. Gramsci (Italian philosopher) called for a communist revolution in the US. He said the U.S. required two things for this to occur: 1) organized left 2) the destruction of western Christian philosophy. I would say those two things are at present a reality. Reading which made me remember history and gave me fodder for thought. 193 pages

It's been a few days since I finished Klondike Oddjobs. Now that I've had time to reflect, I realize how much I enjoyed this piece of work.

At times, I would roll my eyes at the kitschy critique of tourists. But there's no denying that this series of shorts, essays, and poems will transport you into the mind of C.A. Mullins. It's something akin to Charlie in Willy Wonka's factory. Replace the candy with salmon, and you've already got an idea of what's waiting for you in Klondike Oddjobs.

Everyone should read this, honestly. It's too broad to be suppressed into a single genre. The truth of Mullins' work can be appreciated by anything. And his prose will keep you turning pages faster than you realize. Don't miss out on this hidden gem.
