I cried at Maggie's loss of her mom who O'D on Coke, her dad in prison for selling drugs, and it was up to her and her brother to raise themselves. They had become addicted to the same drug as their mom living in a roach infected apartment. At seventeen Mag's wanted to get clean but Philip just wanted to stay high, and he died too. Seven years later, Maggie had stayed clean graduated and then college to become and elementary schoolteacher. I liked the way attorney Will Taylor pulled Maggie out of her shell and asked her to go with him to his brother's funeral as he knew that she was the one for him. Will had an unforgiving farther that blame him for Patrick's death even though Patrick was a year older than him. It is sad that in times of trouble families pull apart. I LIKED THIS BOOK AS IT SHOWED HOW FAMILIES WILL ACT.… (plus d'informations)

Again, this author created a story that was very interesting with multifaceted characters and a backstory/mystery that is intertwined through the series so far. It is told from multiple characters point of view. I'm still struggling a bit with the transition between what's happening and the characters. However, I'm really wanting to find out what happens. Especially, with the way that this story ends. Not at all what I'm used to in regards to an ending that isn't going to pick up in the next book about the same character but instead is moving on to a different sibling.… (plus d'informations)

There was so much I liked about this book and others I struggled with. The banter and the dialogue between all the characters was fantastic. Where I struggled was in the actual set up in the scenes. It felt forced until the moments they started talking. The plot was engaging, and definitely laid the foundation for the future stories since it was left unfinished.

I love discovering new authors, and finding someone from my own state made it that much more exciting. I look forward to more from this author. I'm excited for Bear's story.… (plus d'informations)

I've been wanting Wyatt's story since he was first introduced. This story was good but not my favorite. I wanted to focus on Wyatt and Margaret's story but the story kept focusing on other characters. I liked getting the chance to hear their stories but I think it missed the most on an area of fiction that isn't talked about much and that is addiction. That had the potential to be so much more.

Still, this was still a great addition to this series.
