Margaret E. Mooney

I have been shown this book by a couple of mentors teachers throughout my field experiences. A Reading Recovery teacher first sent it home for me to look through, then a literacy coach passed it along as well. This book is a nice and quick resource for looking at the different features in various text forms. I like how it lays out what you should notice in the writing (great for noticings – genre studies!). Before giving you all of the different forms and features it also discusses why and how to use the book. I love that it actually tells you to use it as necessary, not to sit down and read it cover to cover. A very practical and useful find!… (plus d'informations)
