This could be read to younger children simply by skipping the explanations at the bottom of the page. Each Nursery rhyme is printed with an amazing illustration. The part where this book becomes truly enchanting though is the explanation of the rhymes at the bottom of the page. I never knew there was a Dr. Muffet who had his doctorate in entomology. I also didn't know or that the "pig" in "Tom, tom the piper's son" is actually a fruit filled pastry.
