Courte biographie
Shigeru Miyamoto (宮本 茂, born November 16, 1952) is a Japanese video game designer and producer. He is best known as the creator of some of the most successful video game franchises of all time, including Mario, Donkey Kong, The Legend of Zelda, Star Fox, F-Zero, Pikmin, and the Wii series. Miyamoto was born and raised in Kyoto Prefecture; the natural surroundings of Kyoto inspired much of Miyamoto's later work. He currently manages the Nintendo Entertainment Analysis and Development branch, which handles many of Nintendo's top-selling titles. Miyamoto's games have been seen on every Nintendo video game console, with his earliest work appearing on arcade machines. His games have received critical praise from many reviewers, and he has been the recipient of various awards. He has a wife, Yasuko, and two children.

If you're a Zelda fan, this is seriously something worth picking up. I'll always be proud to have Hyrule Historia on my shelf, right next to OoT and BotW.

I'd like to give this book a higher rating but it wasn't as strong in the illustration and image department I had hoped. Still, it was an early gift (for what occasion, I forget) from my sister while I was in hospital and it was good to leaf through and spend time poking around the tid-bits and general histories. Not quite as in depth with lore as I would have hoped, but not a bad coffee table book.
