Many adults are not at home with theri bodies, as children are. while crative movement andplay come naturally to most children, Minton asserts that many adults must relearn ghedse basic activitesin order to mvoe with spontaneit and gasce.

Dr. Minton coordinates the dance program at the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley. Over 20 years of dance instruction at the collegel level, plus her extensive study of kinesiology and the body therapies, makes her an expert on the subject of body and movement. Dr. Minton received her BA and MA degrees in dance from the University of California at Los Angeles and her PhD degree from Texas Woman's University. She is a member of the Congress on Research in dance and was the publication director for the National Dance Assoication.
