I came across this book when I was looking for something to help me get back into writing. After some YEARS of paralyzing fear about getting back to pen and page, I wanted to take the plunge again but my skills are rusty. Very rusty.

I remember doing Morning Pages from the book, "The Artist's Way" which I found quite helpful for loosening up and relaxing into writing. While searching for information about that, I came across, "Proprioceptive Writing" and this book.

Well, I just did my first "Write" and I was impressed. Yes, it was uncomfortable but I followed the instructions and it was interesting to see where my thoughts took me by asking the Proprioceptive Question (PQ), "What do I mean by that?". It was rather therapeutic.

This book by Linda Trichter Metcalf and Tobin Simon explains the theory and practice of Proprioceptive Writing in way that makes it accessible to anybody.

I would recommend this book for anybody looking for a way to get deeper into their writing or for anybody that wants to explore parts of themselves that may be causing a bit of inner-conflict.
