Really difficult book to review. If you want to read something 'different' try this!

The book has three story lines, personally, I found David's easiest to read, Noe-buk's hardest, and Alistair's most interesting.

Can I rate this book any higher? Please! It’s the best story I’ve read in a long time. In a mixture of captivating fiction and speculation, The Unity Game will grip you right from the beginning. Following four different storylines which eventually intertwine at the end of the book, this novel ponders the idea of why humans feel as bleak as they do and what exactly happens after we die. Moving from a New York banker, to intelligent alien creatures, and a library that contains books of everyone’s lives, The Unity Game is a fast-paced novel that will leave you wanting more. No matter what genre you’re a fan of, I promise this book won’t let you down if you’re looking for an amazing read that will really stick with you long after you read the last page.… (plus d'informations)

I've read Miss Meriel's other work which got me excited to see what this one was about. She does not disappoint. Like her other book, we are taken on a strange, thought-provoking journey. Though this time, instead of pondering the wonderings of the universe, we are left to think about ourselves and the way that our lives impact one another.

This story really explores the importance of family, particularly that of mother to daughter. This story covered three generations of women in one family and that touched me. Being raised by my mother and grandmother helped me to really relate to the plot of this story and what all three of the women really felt about one another.

Angela was a very sweet character, and it was so easy to read about her. Her parts of the story were moving and so were her desires to brighten the world around her, even when things weren’t so bright. I related to her almost instantly and loved how much she was willing to do just to make her mother smile.

If you’re looking for a cozy read that’ll tug at your heartstrings, this is it.

I received an ARC of this novel. I wanted to truly love it. Nothing better then settling in, on a warm night, with a book and a cup of tea. But alas that was not the case.

I couldn't get past the prose. The descriptions were flat at times. Droning on and on. Or they were too lyrical. Please put down the Thesaurus. I think you used the word droplets too many times. It was very ADHD to me.

I could not lose myself in the story. I was too bored. Or laughing at the way something was described. Don't try so hard. Do not detail how someone reached for silverware. Just say they sat down to eat.

I think the plot was beautiful. However execution fell short.
