This book has Andrew a vampire who we meet in McMahan's book of short stories. He's happily shacked up with Pablo whom he made a vampire in the other book. Pablo whoever is getting a bit morose and has joined a cult that advocates blood abstinence. Andrew goes to a few of the meetings just to appease Pablo. Pablo however meets an unfortunate demise. Andrew has met up with another group of vampire who have it in for the other group. He's under the assumption that they are the ones that have caused Pablo's death. We find out that the cult is really much more malevolent then they seemed. With the help of his new friends and a 4 year old vamp that Andrew finds on the street he gets to the bottom of Pablo's death. This one is fairly good if you can get past Andrew referring to himself in the 3rd person through the beginning of the book. The first part is really rather bland and throws a lot of characters at you. After the death of Pablo the book really begins to pick up speed though.… (plus d'informations)

Suspense/horror with a slight gay bent. We have a couple of stories with a gay vampire. One with a man who goes out with his friend to a Halloween party only to find that everything is not as it appears. Another with an apartment that is haunted/possessed by a former tenant. A man who is killed by the locals of his hometown only to come back as a zombie to seek revenge. A young boy who lives in a fantasy realm that overlaps his real life. And a man who just wants his own little patch of suburbia only to have that small patch take over the rest of the world.… (plus d'informations)

Andrew and Pablo are a vampire couple who just want to live in peace. But they are being chased by a homicidal maniac and Eddie the police officer(who is in love with Andrew) And Pablo is being sucked into a vampire cult that advocates blood abstinence. Andrew copes with the resulting melee with wit, humor, luck, and vampire strength. A fun read that made me laugh out loud at times.

Jeffrey N. McMahan weaves frightfully realistic stories that contain just the right mix of horror, humor, and eroticism: tales of gruesome Halloween party; a Vampire whose conscience bothers him, and a suburbanite with a killer lawn.
