Zane Chaslu is into the S & M scene but something goes wrong one night with a leather mask and he's almost suffocated. The next thing Zane knows, he's standing naked on a stage with a handful of other men being auctioned off as slaves. He is purchased by Ertic Stin who is a Uhiran explorer with four arms and two cocks. Zane's imagination goes wild with thoughts of kinky sex all the time. The trouble for Zane is that Ertic didn't buy Zane as a pleasure slave but as a working slave. Ertic needs to do some fast moving because he is due to become the Queen of the Seven Worlds' consort and the Queen's consorts seem to have a short life span. This story is a prime example of tongue in cheek humor gone wrong because of an author over doing it. I have seen it in several books now where the author comes up with a cute story outline as this story had but then took a good thing and went over the edge with it. I enjoyed the first forty or so pages where Zane and Ertic are having their power play and even their first sex scene. Things seem to have quickly gotten out of control when plot lines got shuffled around to suit the humor such as where Ertic suddenly decides to keep Zane as a partial pleasure slave. This worked for a short time until I found that Ertic was soon to become the Queen's consort. I then had to ask myself why Ertic needed a slave to do heavy lifting or even needed a slave at all. When the need for Ertic and Zane to have some secrecy arouse, bam they had sex with both of Ertic's cocks and they suddenly could communicate telepathically. I can understand that sometimes an author paints themself into a corner with a story's plot but a good author goes back into their story and unravels the mistakes and continues on with the repaired plotline. Ms McLeod, unfortunately, decided to just apply more paint in an effort to cover up plot flaws in my honest opinion. I was asked to review this story as a stand alone so I do not think I missed anything from the previous book that would have helped this story read any smoother. I can only hope that Ms McLeod stays away from comedy in the future and writes what she knows best.… (plus d'informations)
