This story centers on Loic, the wealthy Doreni son of the king’s First Captain and Satha, a dark-skinned woman from a poor Theseni clan. It begins when Loic sees Satha in the marketplace and he wants her as his wife. They marry. The kindness Satha shows towards some of the members of Loci’s clan is met with jealously. This leads to her brutal rape and the death of her first born. This loss divides them emotionally, spiritually, and eventually physically.
Loic sets off to find and kill Noam, the man who violated his wife. While Loic is battling dark forces on his mission to find Noam, Satha was abducted and sold as a slave. Both will be met with such torture, it will test their very faith. There is no way of knowing if they will reunite until the end.
The author is a Christian writer, but I didn’t find WIND FOLLOWER to be a typical Christian fiction novel. This is one of the most unique tales I have read in sometime. I thoroughly enjoyed the journey.
