Halloween is nearing at Winston Prep, and the four girls of POSEUR decide it's time to introduce their very first accessory.

After some debate, they decide on a handbag that they will call the "Trick-or-Treater." Now, all that is left to do is to actually design and make the perfect bag before Halloween. Which doesn't give them a lot of time. And of course with Janie, Petra, Melissa, and Charlotte, nothing is ever simple.

Each girl has ideas for her own handbag, and when it comes to picking out the right one they all insist..."Mine is the best!" What are the girls to do?

There is also the task of trying to figure out who sabotaged their drawing for picking the name of their group at their release party. If they could just find one of those many tags that has POSEUR written across it, they may be able to find out who the culprit is.

There is also plenty of drama involving the guys of Winston Prep, and even one guy who doesn't go to the school but who will soon be connected in some way. And also, just the regular drama of life!

This was a great second book in the POSEUR series. I have to say that I thoroughly enjoyed it. I love each of the four girls and it's fun trying to picture what they're wearing. All of the drama makes you not want to put the book down, and the cute guys help, as well.

The ending left off at a very good spot for the next book to come in at. Therefore, I can't wait to get my hands on book three, PETTY IN PINK!

Once again, Rachel Maude takes us into the lives of Charlotte (the prissy one), Melissa (the sassy one), Petra (the hippie one) and Janie (the shy one). If you haven’t read these books before, let me catch you up. These four girls are put into a group for a class. They all like fashion and make a handbag using all of their ideas. The problem is when they ask everyone to help them come up with a name, POSEUR is written on every form.

In this book, they are working with a famous designer who wants to sell their bag. They have to find someone to show off the bag and the perfect party for it.

This book was cute, much like the other ones, but it didn’t do as much for me. I flew through it, but I wish there would have been more styling. I loved the first book as they worked together on a piece. This was more of high school drama … for the rich and famous.

I do enjoy this series. It always keeps me reading and as childish as it sounds, the pictures are great. There are drawings scattered through the book that show particular outfits the girls are wearing throughout the book. I like having an idea of what the girls look like and their style. Although I can picture them with a description, a picture says a thousand words right?

I give Petty in Pink 3 bookmarks

Four girls, four dilemmas, one mindset: fashion.

On the first day of her freshman year, Janie Farrish was already criticized, all because of her horrible acne. Now that all of it is gone, Janie wants everyone to see her new look as she enters her sophomore year. But the more she thinks about it, the more she feels like she is just trying too hard. With wanting to become just a tad bit popular, it doesn't help that her twin brother, Jake, is joining the in crowd, making his way toward Janie's enemy, Charlotte. At least she has her drawings to keep her mind off things. Even though she may not think that she is attractive, others do, especially the senior who just transferred back to Winston Prep, Evan.

Charlotte will always be the popular trendsetter. She can have any clothes she wants and any guy she wants. Unfortunately, trying to get Jake as her boyfriend is harder than she thought, mainly because she thinks Janie is in her way. The only way for her to get Jake is for Charlotte to play nice, which is easier said then done, since she is the one that gave Janie that terrible nickname, Pompidou.

Melissa Moon is ghetto fabulous. Being half Korean and half African-American, and the daughter of a very famous rapper, Melissa has one thing on her mind: starting her own industry. She wants to start it quick so it can be powerful and successful. And her main goal is for everyone to breathe Melissa Moon.

Petra Green is just naturally beautiful. All the stuff she does to make herself look ugly, from wearing mismatched clothes to having not-so-perfect hair; nothing keeps Petra from being gorgeous. It also doesn't help when her plastic surgeon dad uses Petra to try and get more customers, by claiming that she was all his doing. All Petra wants to do is take care of her adopted sisters, and survive her messed up home life.

All four girls propose their own special studies group, only to have them morph into one, whether they like it or not. Even though each girl is extremely different, they have one thing in common -- their passion for fashion.

Witty, artsy, and hilarious, POSEUR is a great start for this new series. Fashionistas look out because Janie, Charlotte, Melissa, and Petra are ready to conquer the fashion industry.

I don’t know why I love this series but I do. I’m not particularly interested in fashion, okay honestly I’m not interested in it at all. And the whole premise of this book is a fashion designing foursome. Christian Louboutin, Narcisco Rodriguez, Chopard... these words, they mean nothing to me. And yet, I can’t stop turning the pages. I even stashed this book in my purse in case I had a wait at the polls... which I didn’t! DANG IT!I don’t particularly love any of the characters. But I still crave their story! How can Janie not know that Evan likes her!? Are Charlotte and Jake ever going to get back together!? And Petra has a midnight rendevous! This book was rolling in the boy drama. And if you must have drama at least make it boy drama! It’s a fun and of course fabulous read! I can’t wait until the next title in the series Petty in Pink! Unfortunately it doesn’t hit the shelves until July 2009.… (plus d'informations)
