This book can be for intermediate and primary students. It is based around a historical event and is bilingual. A boy and his family have to leave America even though he grew up in Texas but there is a mass deportation happening in America in the story. They are all reminiscing on their lives in America and they are sad to be going however in the end they are atleast doing it toegtehr as a family.

1.I would recommend this book to lower elementary levels.
2. This book goes though the story of a family that is immigrating to Mexico. And during the trip the kids are annoyed they have to travel so far but their mom and dad make it more fun by asking what they see.
3.I would kind of recommend this book in a classroom but it is very boring in a way that the plot is said at the beginning and doesn't have any twists and turns. It's just a straight story.

I'm excited to see what's next in the "Not A...." series! First it was a bean, now an axolotl. The axolotl's life cycle and natural habitat are described, as a pair of kids patrol the canals of Xochimilco and help clean it up so axolotls (a type of salamander) can thrive there again. "There is hope for paradise. Maybe that is why the axolotl smiles."

Endearing and informative.

Spanish words are mixed into mostly English text, with Spanish color words (azul, cafe, gris, etc.) printed in their corresponding colors. Spanish vocabulary and colors are included in the back matter, along with an author's note and photos of her pet axolotls.… (plus d'informations)

I mean, who doesn't love axolotls? A fun way to learn some Spanish vocabulary while learning about some really unique animals.
