Kingmaker's Sword (The Rune Blade Trilogy, Book 1) par Ann Marston
It's been years since I last read this story, so it's nice to know my memory is still pretty accurate in how great this story is. Definitely reading the rest of the series.
Bringing back good memories - I'm reminded that I wanted to write fantasy in part because of this series (not fanfic mind you, but my own stories).
I very much enjoyed this once I understood what it was: Not a straight fantasy story, but one of the most original King Arthur retellings it has been my pleasure to encounter.
The opening of the first book is a bit confusing, and reads almost more like historic fiction/romance for a few chapters before becoming a fantasy series.
This book and this series is for someone who enjoyed Alexander's Chronicles of Prydain/Watson's retelling of the Mabinogi, and also enjoyed Mary Stewart's Merlin trilogy. It is a wonderful companion to the others.… (plus d'informations)
