An excellent book which covers some 50 roses. Each rose has a two page spread, on one side is the history of the name of the rose and a cameo style of either a photograph or an illustration of the person for whom it is named, or in rare cases such as the Peace Rose, the person who created the rose. On the other side is a beautiful photograph of the rose itself. At the back of the book are families of roses that is grouped together by their names. For example there are roses named after writers, keen gardeners, the aristocracy and many more.
