This is a lovely modern interpretation of Persuasion, a novel I haven’t reread in over ten years. So many feels here between Joshua and Finn, and it was honestly heart wrenching for much of it, but I still couldn’t put it down.
Very sweet, very sappy and totally captivating. Totally character driven from beginning to end. Theo and Luca were perfect together and even though I knew how it would end, I let out a huge sigh to see it pulled together. This is a new, impressive author for me. New Milton is a place that I want to spend more time in.
I never heard of Sally Malcolm before but wow she can spin a beautiful story. Pre-revolutionary war America is one of my favorite historical time. That Rebel is set at that time is a bonus for me. Great main characters that I am looking forward to spending more time with.

I feel like Lewis' issues were not addressed properly, and that made the ending less enjoyable for me though, so 4 stars.… (plus d'informations)
