A balanced and readable account of the trial written by a journalist who covered the story from the beginning. So much was in limbo at the time the book was written, it was difficult for the author to have an analysis of the case, e.g. the inquiry into the police investigation. There's a revised edition of this book, which hopefully covers the re-trial and the resulting not guilty verdict.
½In 2011, the head of the Moosehead Brewing Company, Richard Oland, was murdered in his office. Over two years later, his only son Dennis was charged with his murder and subsequently convicted. In this book, CBC reporter Bobbi-Jean MacKinnon takes us through the police investigation and the trial with an amazing amount of detail. The writing is clear and both sides are well presented by the author. This is an interesting book and timely, given that Dennis Oland is currently being re-tried on appeal.… (plus d'informations)
