I've read this book probably 5 times and know that I'll read it again. I know that there are probably several things that other readers may call BS on or may not enjoy but, for me, Taylor and Torrey are about as perfectly written as could be. Maas had an incredible gift for writing her characters and drawing the emotion from her readers. She can make you laugh and cry in the same scene and never want the book to end.

One of the best romances ever written, in my humble opinion.

Feb 2014 - Did another reread and, yep, still love it!

I finished my second reading of this book and I'm trying to think of a good reason not to give it 5 stars. I'd probably go with 4.5 because there were a couple typos (one was funny so it didn't bother me at all).

This is a perfect example of a romantic comedy in print. I laughed out loud many times and truly didn't want it to end.

I had already read all of Maas' other work before I discovered this one and it was nothing like what I had expected. The rest of her work is pretty serious in tone but this is light hearted and funny and I wish she would have had so much more time with us. I think she could have been one of the greats in the Lesfic world.… (plus d'informations)

This one won't be for everyone given that it's set in a place and time that included body slaves and everything that follows from that. But there's a certain lyricism in the way it's written, and the characters are so interesting.
