{My thoughts} – This book took me awhile to get through. Many of the crimes committed weren’t detailed, but some were, and those that were in many cases were difficult to stomach.

It breaks my heart to know that the human race is capable of doing such horrible things to one another. It also saddens me to learn that despite knowing and understanding they were doing horrible things that most had zero remorse.

I’m well aware that there are plenty more serial killers out there. That many haven’t been caught or have simple vanished from the scene. However, that doesn’t make it any easy to accept that people can do such terrible things to one another.

I’ve always been intrigued by the criminal mind. I’m a huge fan of nearly every law show because they intrigue me. I’ve yet to understand how people can do the things they do though. I’ve often wondered if those that write about or create TV scripts are secretly serial killers pulling the wool over fans and viewers eyes. Some of the fiction I’ve read, some of the shows I’ve watched, it’s just so out there in terms of what killers are capable of. I love true crime so when I saw this audiobook, I thought it would be a good listen. And it was. It’s an interesting compilation of the wicked things that 2018 had to offer. There are things ranging from school shootings to neglectful parents to sadistic murder in places all over the world.

While I thought it was fascinating to have a look into so many different crimes, it got a little monotonous after a couple of hours listening to it. I think with a little more depth to each case, it might’ve made it a bit more entrancing.

Love this collection.

If you’re looking to learn more about mysterious cases this is the true crime listen for you. The cases inside were mostly ones that I've never heard of before, but ones that I am looking forward to doing more research on. This book gives the basics of what happened in each case, who the suspect is, and other important information, but it doesn’t really go in depth. I would recommend this piece for someone who is just getting into true crime. Honestly, I had hoped there would be a bit more information for each. Still a great collection though.

Narration was steady and the cadence worked well with the author’s writing style.
