Lord Stanley of Alderley

An easy going memoir recounting sailing voyages in a series of vessels owned by Lord Stanley, 1930-1946. Includes considerable travel in the west of Scotland, including the poignant description of being pulled through the Crinan Canal by a horse (the boat at that time had no motor).

Nice gentle 'sailing biography' centred around the boats the author has owned. Of particular
interest to me because 'Our Boy' was moored in our local harbour - renamed as 'Regard',
now away to the East Coast for restoration - we hope...
