I received a copy of this novel in exchange for my honest review. Sarah Bray moves back to her small hometown to escape the trauma she experienced at the high school she taught at in Memphis. Upon returning home and renovating her grandmother’s house, she meets the handsome Lucas Miller. She thinks that he will help her forget the tragedy that brought her home, unfortunately, hate can be anywhere. This was quite a tearjerker for me, I didn’t think that an entire town could behave as despicably as these people did. This was a fantastic story of love, support, and tolerance. Be sure to have a box of tissues handy, this one will have you in tears.… (plus d'informations)

A beautiful short Christmas story reminding us to take time to stop and listen. It is also a reminder that God does here us and will give us what we ask in His time and way - it may be unexpected

Hero has manwhore reputation before heroine.
Hero doesn't look at another woman after the heroine.
Not much detail on intimate scenes.
Small o/w drama, a woman he hooked up with makes him an offer, he turns her down though it looks bad.
Other man is interested in heroine.
No cheating.
Both bad experience with family, different issues for them both.
Hero is amazing once he is on board.
Hero's family is amazing.
HEA.

Beautiful

What a wonderful and amazing story. The blurb drew me in but it was nothing like I was expecting of the typical surprise pregnancy romances I have read. Instead, it showed the stages of learning to grow and adjust in a relationship where two people are basically strangers. Callie was delightful as she went through the growing pains of dealing with impending motherhood, learning to be an equal, and learning to love. Devin was what every woman wants when they picture the perfect man and baby daddy. The secondary characters were funny and I found myself wishing for them to have stories too.

Delightful book. This was the first time reading this author. It sure won't be my last.
