I had read Wildflower Hill a while back and I remember I really enjoyed reading it and the story stayed with me for a while. Unfortunately, this book didn't have any enjoyable aspects for me. The pacing was extremely slow. The focus was on too many insignificant and repetitive details rather than on character or plot development. Speaking of which, I didn't actually like a single character past or present. All of them came across as childish and selfish and none of their actions made sense. I felt like I was reading a story about a bunch of hormonal teenagers pretending to be adults. To pair up with the confusing characters, the main storyline was unfocused and all over the place. There are too many tangents about minor characters that did nothing but distract from the main story. To top it all off, I don't appreciate it when an author takes a cheap shot and unfairly insinuates that a portion of her readers are "bigots." I won't be reading anything else from her in the future.… (plus d'informations)
