I adore this book. It has so many elements that I love: a mystery, a love(ish) story, interesting characters, and great writing. I think I can understand why people don't like this or tend to be lukewarm about it, but it was exactly what I was hoping it would be when I picked it up. There was nothing about this book I didn't like. The description of working in a call center (which is somewhat similar to my own job) was spot on, especially back when I still worked in the office. I loved the characters, the story, the writing, and the narration. Though somewhat short, every minute was so well done and the conclusion was perfect (and perfectly satisfying). Can wait to read more books by Liu.

So of course magic is a business, with endless bureaucracy and harassed interns left to handle the mess as best they can. And the story is funny and moving, and it made me smile and laugh. I loved it.… (plus d'informations)
