Oh! Christmas Tree par Leonard Little
2.5 stars. Oh! Christmas Tree by Leonard Little didn't really work - a fantasy short, it had an interesting concept (for which I gave it a higher rating), but really needed to be longer to develop it more, and end was so rushed it was outright confusing (I had to read it twice to figure out what had happened).
2.5 stars. The concept of Rise of the Drakyn by Leonard Little was a good one, but the execution was somewhat confusing, without enough explanation of some of the elements of the world. It was also a bit too bloody for me.
Cute little story about how Christmas and Santa began. Good for kids
The Rise of the Drakyn is a well written, fast paced tale telling the classic fantasy story of good vs evil. The young hero finds himself thrust into a situation where he must discover and develop his talents and abilities to combat the evil he is forced to face. The characters are well developed, even the dragons. I particularly like the way the writer handled the hero's ability to communicate with trees, animals, and other magical creatures. This story comes to a conclusion in this volume but leaves openings for future tales. I hope I don't have to wait too long for the next installment.… (plus d'informations)
