On Christmas morning siblings Daisy and Sam are playing inthe snow when they see someting soar through the sky. Thinking it is a snow angel, they are sad when they see it swoop, flutter, and fall to the ground. In the spirit of Christmas, the mice do all they can to help the snow angel by sharing with it their own Christmas gifts. When the Snow Angel is stronger again it leaves them with a gift themselves. This was a beautiful Christmas book that can be used in the classroom around the Christmas season to discuss the importance of good deeds. It could also be used to teach cause and effect.… (plus d'informations)

Jenny, her brothers, and her sister have a present for their mother’s birthday, but it gets broken before they can give it to her. Now they must find another present. But they need to hurry and find that perfect gift before she wakes up! The little mice search, but there’s nothing that will make a perfect present for their mother. Then Jenny has a great idea.

Appealing illustrations fill the pages of this touching tale that helps children recognize the importance of working together. Parents will appreciate the emphasis on family.

Highly recommended.

This book is about a mouse who goes out to play in the sun, but it starts to storm and she looks for shelter. She comes across a bunch of animals who offer to share their shelter with her, but she doesn't think any of their shelters are safe. Once her mom comes to find her, they go in a hallow oak tree to wait out the storm, and she goes back to get all of the other animals from their shelters to share hers because it is huge. This would be a great book to use in a classroom for teaching a lesson on sharing and helping others. Appropriate for grades PreK-3.… (plus d'informations)

Daisy and Sam are two little mice as excited as can be about Christmas. They rush outside into the Christmas snow and are surprised when an angel falls from the sky. The concerned little mice rush to the fallen angel's aid offering it food and watching over it. When it comes time for the angel to take flight again, she leaves behind a gift of her own to the delight of the mice.

The Bottom Line: This charming tale is easy to read to the little ones and emphasizes themes of kindness and sharing. Children will adore Jane Chapman's glittery illustrations in soft pastels. Recommended for toddlers through kids in Grade 1.
