Philip F. Lawler is editor of Catholic World News, the first English-language Catholic news service operating on the internet, which he founded in 1995. Born and raised in the Boston area, he attended Harvard College and did graduate work in political philosophy at the University of Chicago before afficher plus entering a career in journalism. Lawler has served as managing editor for the quarterly Policy Review, as Director of Studies for the Heritage Foundation, and as editor of Crisis magazine. In 1986 he became the first layman to edit The Pilot, the Boston archdiocesan newspaper. From 1993 through 2005 he was editor of the international monthly magazine Catholic World Report. Lawler is the author of five previous books on political and religious topics. His essays, book reviews, and editorial columns columns have appeared in over 100 newspapers around the United States and abroad, including the The Wall Street Journal, Los Angeles Times, The Washington Post, and The Boston Globe. afficher moins
