He lost track of the 'heilige' part of his title.
I love the way Lauster makes church history fit with general history, art history, ... to make it all make a lot more sense. This culminates in how the events of the short 20th century (1914 - 1989) leave a Christianity with multiple directions and new possibilities because it is no longer tied to European power structures in the same ways.
This is written in German, and from a German point of view. This only got difficult for me in the discussion of 19th century theology and philosophy.
