Could easily have been a train wreck of a movie given the premise, but while not avoiding stereotypes altogether, it largely does not make mistake of portraying all Southerners as stupid. The script pokes fun equally at Alabamans and Brooklynites, and most characters (from whichever locale) are given a primary characteristic separate from their regional identity.

Frankly, the most unrealistic aspect of the film is in completely overlooking race relations.

Con artists try to out con each other.

The story's kind of fun, but there aren't nearly enough laughs.
