It’s quiet time under the sea but Fred, the octopus, is having a hard time keeping still. He wants to bounce and fling, flang, flong and plung, plang, plong and just PLAY around. The other fish warn him that he needs to calm down. He tries, but with no success. They finally tell him to go away. This story can be compared to children with problems sitting still and the others not wanting to play with them. He heads off to find a friend. This is a sad story, especially when you think this could be your child. The solution in the story is easy, but in real life, using this book to help children learn about acceptance of others and helping children to find where they belong. The illustrations are done in muted tones, perfect for depicting underwater scenes. The publisher generously provided me with a copy of this book via Netgalley.… (plus d'informations)

This book says it is about "friendship and children who are just a little bit more energetic than others." I guess there is a book for just about everybody these days, and you don't have to go to the Library of Babel and search for it for years--you just check out Amazon. Fred the Octopus annoys the seahorses, sawfish, and his other neighbors by being too bouncy, so they send him away. But then...

Well, you'll just need to read this pleasant story with its enticing illustrations of the party that seems to be going on under the sea!… (plus d'informations)
