A childhood book re-read, I think I got this during my 8th grade project on the RCMP. The last couple of pages reminded me of theNight's Watch of GRRM, talking of long patrols in harsh winter conditions. :-) It also serves as an example for my own travel diaries, it's very very short on detail in some places, moving things right along but in some places I did want more description. I kind of want to visit the marker commemorating the claim of Canada on huge swaths of the Arctic. :-)
