Courte biographie
Anna Kathryn Lanier

started writing while still in high school. Her first novel was a futuristic Armageddon tale with romantic elements. She wrote her first romances in her early twenties, but her only submission was rejected. After putting her writing on hold for nearly two decades to raise a family and play housewife, Anna Kathryn picked up the pen again, so to speak—this is the computer age—in 2001. She has completed three romance novels to date, all unpublished. She discovered a love for short stories and has since published multiple novellas, both contemporary and historical. She is a member of Romance Writers of America and several of its chapters.

The daughter of an Air Force airman, Anna Kathryn grew up moving wherever the Air Force sent her father. She has lived in eight states (three of them twice), a U.S. Territory (Guam) and, as if that wasn’t enough traveling, she was a foreign exchange student to Finland while in high school. The last two decades of her life have been more settled, as she has only lived in three states: West Virginia, Louisiana and Texas. Anna Kathryn now lives in Texas with her husband. She has two grown daughters and three grandchildren.

Ms. Anna Kathryn Lanier has done a good job of integrating these two characters into a storyline that sizzled and moved so quickly it was hard to put down. These main characters were so different-they were raised in opposite type households and had experienced completely different parents’ attention. The secondary characters were such a great benefit to the book. It was hard to imagine how the story would be told without each one.

This book had no slow areas. It flowed so well, it was impossible to put it down. There was a sexuality which, while explicit, was not awkward in the telling. It was a great book which expressed opposites dealing with similar-though entirely different-obstacles in their lives. It seemed as if there was no way for there to be a happily-ever-after. The ending was unexpected and made me love the book even more.

I highly recommend this book to all except the faint of heart. I will certainly look for this author again in the future.
