"This book contains the text of 'The Tragic Hero', a series of six half-hour radio lectures first broadcast on CBC University of the Air in the fall of 1964." Lamb's topic is Tragedy in its dramatic meaning - Greek, Shakespearian, Renaissance, Modern etc plays. It has pointed me to further reading, albeit familiar works. An excellent book. And to think that these lectures were broadcast on a public platform, with its text later used as a high school reading, makes me wonder if there are any equivalents in today's media landscape. Podcasts? I don't think even the best podcasts have that sort of reach.
