This guide has helped me understand Gluten and how I can avoid it wherever I am. Some great science background is given, I would recommend to anyone considering going Gluten free or getting the test.

This book would be really useful to people at the very beginning of a gluten-free diet. Once you've been eating gluten-free for many months, though, it's not as helpful. You'll have already figured out most of this. There is useful information in the book, but it's very repetitive in its long lists of items to look out for as 'hidden' ingredients in food, such as mentioning the possibility of cross contamination in the kitchen repeatedly. Also, the book is written to sound more like an advertisement than an information book, and I wonder just how many books in this topic the authors have read, to see how other people write them.

If you're new to eating gluten-free, this is worth a look. But if you're getting the hang of it, just pass this one by.

Let's Eat Out Around the World Gluten Free and Allergy Free by Kim Koeller and Robert La France is a good resource for those who travel or eat out who also have food and gluten allergies. They give you an abundance of information what to look out for and what questions to ask of the wait staff to ensure that you don't get something like gluten by mistake. It is a wealth of good information and resources to help. If you travel around the world or just enjoy trying new dishes from different countries while needing to watch out for gluten or other allergens, then this will be a helpful resource for you. I was given this book for free for my honest review.… (plus d'informations)

Let’s eat out around the world gluten free and allergy free Kim Koeller and Robert La France
Demos Medical Publishing,LLC New York NY 10036, pp326, ISBN 978-1-936303-60-1
This book is a logical follow on to, and perfect supplement for “The Grain Brain” by Perlmutter. Where Perlmutter provides the nuts and bolts of why gluten sensitivity and food allergies happen, Koeller and La France provide practical, real-world advice on overcoming the stigma that you are doomed to eat by yourself, at home, forever. On the contrary, I found this guide to be a great travelling companion. Granted my wife won’t suffer me to actually take it into a restaurant, but once we pick a theme for our evening, I simply refer to the appropriate chapter in the guide, refresh my memory about what questions to ask, and what foods to avoid, and we are off for a wonderful evening.
I would recommend this as a reference for anyone who has or suspects they have a gluten sensitivity or a food allergy. The change in diet and lifestyle are difficult at first, but Koeller and La France take a lot of the sting out of the transition with their guide.
