Courte biographie
Mary Lou Kirwin feels that she owes a great deal to all the librarians in her life -- for handing her the right book at the right time, and for being fonts of information. She lives in the wilds of Minnesota, and, when not writing or reading, she loves eating dinner with the man in her life, going for long walks with her poodle, and doing handwork. Ew. My expectations are not terribly high for cozy mysteries and I'm a sucker for books about books....but three very short chapters in and I hate everyone, including the writer. I can't blame this one on "a reading slump." I am just absolutely not the target audience for this book. If I'd read the back cover more carefully I'd have known...it's about a "sassy" librarian and her "squeeze," Caldwell.

Cute cozy mystery about a middle age librarian on vacation in the UK, and winding up involved solving a death at the B&B? Who-dun-it? Keeps you guessing until the end.

I needed a book to clear my palate and this was just the book. Killer Librarian is a light, fun read. Sure there's a dead body or two, but no blood and guts or evil killers on the loose. It wasn't overly romancey either. I started out thinking it was just 'okay' but toward the end realized I was really liking it. Will keep my eye out for book 2 of this new series.

Karen Nash is dumped by her boyfriend on the eve of their trip to England but decides to go anyway. In the land of Agatha Christie and other great mystery writers she naturally finds a corpse (natural causes? accidental overdose? poison?) and overcome by jet lag and a boozy evening in a pub, she may have accidentally put out a hit on the cheating scumbag (how to retract it?).

Very entertaining piece of fluff. Moving rapidly on to the second in the duology.
