As an American of Irish heritage, I'm naturally drawn to the story of Amos, a cute leprechaun. To my delight, I found The Changing Colors of Amos to be cleverly illustrated, lyrical tale chock full of great learning opportunities for our wee little ones.

Designed for pre-school and kindergarten, The Changing Colors of Amos tells the story of Amos, a leprechaun who changes color depending upon what day of the week it is, except for Sundays, where Amos dreams up the color of the day. The beautiful illustrations are refective of the "mood" of the day and colors, provding rich hues and textures as well as many hiding spots for Amos! Children will enjoy finding him in each picture.

Throughout the story, children learn the days of the week and basic colors. There are addition teaching opportunities for coutning, allowing children to express their moods, and discussing rhyming words or similes and metaphors.

Overall, The Changing Colors of Amos is an exciting, engaging, wonderfully-written, and vibrantly illustrated adventure!
