First of all, I finally figured out how books that I HAVE NOT READ were being marked as if I had already read them. I think when I'm typing these little reminder to self kind of notes to books I'm adding to my TBR shelf, I'm accidentally clicking the "Add date read" button instead of "Post". If you accidentally click "Add date read" and don't delete the boxes that pop up, then it's going to put the book on your shelf as if you had finished reading it. So, now I know and can clean out my shelves, by looking for blank "date finished" fields.
